When you hear the terms "there will never be another", "they thru away the mold", or "one of a kind" they were referring to LaVonne Jones. I first met her at the start of 1989 when I returned from Florida to rejoin the Atlanta division of Hardware Specialty. We became good friends which would last for 35 years. We retired on the same day eleven years ago. We had lunch every week for many years after retirement until covid brought an end to it but we continued to talk to each other every day and see each other often. Good-bye my friend. Thanks for the love and the laughs. Tommy and I will miss you tremendously. Our deepest sympathies go out to Bobby, Paula, Charlotte, and the rest of the family.

Lavonne and I knew each other as "phone buddies" with Hardware Specialty. She always kept me up to date on the comings and goings. lol She was truly a wonderful person. Then when we finally met her she was like part of the family. lol She loved the brown sauce at Frontera Mexican Restaurant and the chips. My kids adored her and so did I. Peace and rest, Lavonne. We will truly miss you. We will always remember the good times. Love you, Marcie, Erin and Benjamin Tanner
