Evelyn Moore Nash, age 85, of Loganville, GA passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. She is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Dennis Nash; daughters, Terry Reonas (Mike), Tammy Howard (Happy); son, Eddie Moore; stepdaughter, Karen Henderson (Pete); stepson, Jeff Nash (Andrea); grandchildren, Chris Reonas (Laura), Kelly Stevenson (Michael), Brad Howard (Jordyn), Brooke Morris (Brennan), Austin Brown (Liz), Hannah Jordan (Jason), Emma Griffin (Jimmy), Mandy Henderson, Ryan Henderson (Sterling), Aubrey Nash, and Addison Nash; 15 great grandchildren, sisters, Yvonne Kennedy (Richard), Mary Martin; brother, Gene Greeson; sister-in-law, Margie Cook (Ron); many nieces and nephews.Although her health prevented her from attending recently, she was a long-term member of Cross Roads Baptist Church, Lawrenceville, GA. Evelyn was an incredible cook and always had people over from church to eat. No one can or will ever cook spaghetti and biscuits like she could. She loved to sew and recently helped to make blessing bears with Tammy’s church. Evelyn loved gardening where she grew the most beautiful flowers and the best vegetables. Another passion of Evelyn’s was shoe shopping. She enjoyed Christmas shopping and would light up buying for the grandchildren and great grandchildren, but she thoroughly loved Black Friday shopping and getting the best deals. Evelyn had a servant’s heart. She was there for everyone, whether they just needed someone to listen to them, or lean on in their time of need, she was always the one to welcome them with open arms. She loved her family fiercely and had one of the most compassionate and gracious hearts. As her children, one thing that we will remember the most of our mother is how she had such a love for the Lord Jesus. Her faith has made us who we are today. Our mother believed in praying not only for herself and her family, but for others in good and bad times. We are comforted in knowing that on Wednesday, when she took her last step on Earth she was welcomed into Heaven where she took her first step into the arms of Jesus.A Funeral Service Honoring the Life of Evelyn will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at 1:00PM at Tom M. Wages Lawrenceville Chapel with Rev. Happy Howard officiating. Interment will follow at Gwinnett Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 30th from 11:00AM until the time of service at 1:00PM.Condolences may be sent or viewed at www.wagesfuneralhome.com. Tom M. I am so sorry to hear this about Evelyn. I am a best friend of Pat Everett Bridwell and I knew Evelyn through her. Evelyn was always so very beautiful and so sweet and kind. She was truly loved by her precious family and friends. I know she will be missed so very much. My prayers and thoughts are with all of the family. She is resting in peace with her Lord and Savior and that is such a comforting thought for her family and everyone that knew her. God Bless and be with each of you through this time.
