Dolores Tocci Oberholtzer of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away serenely in her home on March 21, 2024. Born in Bethlehem, PA on August 23, 1934, Dolores was the third child of the late Francis "Frank" and Elizabeth (Radosovics) Tocci. Dolores was an alumna of Bethlehem Catholic High School and was married to the late Gerald “Jerry” L. Oberholtzer. They met while both were working for Bell Systems, and the two wed in April 1958. Over the years, they made their home in Allentown, PA; Mechanicsburg, PA; Spotswood, NJ; Bloomsbury, NJ; and Roswell, GA. After spending 29 years in Roswell, they relocated to Gwinnett County, GA in 2011, to be closer to family. A passionate advocate for Clemson University and its athletic programs, Dolores and Jerry were dedicated members of IPTAY for more than 35 years. She took immense pride in being the matriarch to nine Clemson alumni.Dolores was preceded in death by her beloved husband; parents; sister and brother-in-law, Rosemarie & Louis Morano; son-in-law, David Ridge Jr.; and granddaughter-in-law, Jessie (Kowzan) Oberholtzer. She leaves behind a loving family: sons, Jerry (Roxann) of Snellville, GA, and Tim (Tina) of Lawrenceville, GA; daughter, Sandy (Tom) Brown of Anderson, SC; along with seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who fondly called her “Gram”; grandchildren Jerry (Sarah) of Sugar Hill, GA; Matthew (Vincey) of Taylors, SC; Paul of Loganville, GA; Abby Meister of Greenville, SC; Zachary of Atlanta, GA; Rachel of Fort Valley, GA; and Alex Meister of Clemson, SC. Great-grandchildren JP & Grant of Sugar Hill, GA, and Amos, Edith, & Irving of Taylors, SC. Her sisters, Jackie (Danny) Kostelnick & Fran Harka, of Bethlehem, also survive her.In lieu of flowers, all are encouraged to make a gift to either Clemson’s IPTAY memorial endowment fund in memory of Dolores & Jerry Oberholtzer (Attn: Connie Gilreath, P.O. Box 1529, Clemson, SC 29633) or Saint Jude Children's Hospital.Final arrangements have been made through Tom M. Wages Funeral Service (www.WagesFuneralHome.com). A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11:00 a.m. on April 13, 2024 at St. Oliver Plunkett Catholic Church in Snellville, GA, followed by interment in the church’s columbarium.
